立法院前院長王金平21日率團從松山機場出發前往日本訪問四天，王金平辦公室指出，這四天行程除會見日本國會議員外，並將與前首相森喜朗進行會談，特價晚間則參加我駐日代表謝長廷所舉辦的歡迎晚宴。
王金平辦公室表示，此次出訪，肇因於日本各界好友的多次邀約，四天的訪問行程中，將廣泛會見日方人士，就台日相關議題進行交流，希望能進一步促進中華民國與日本之間的友好關係；並將台灣在野黨的聲音與看法帶到日本，讓日方對我國有更全面的理解。
王辦指出，參訪團抵達日本後，先赴日本國會，會見現今日本聯合政府成員之一，日本公明黨黨籍議員（魚住裕一郎參議員會長、富田茂之眾議員、高木美智代眾議員），之後再與森喜朗進行會談，晚間則將參加謝長廷所舉辦之歡迎晚宴。
王辦表示，此行還有親民黨立委李鴻鈞、國民黨立院黨團總召廖國棟、國民黨立委黃昭順、林德福與柯志恩。

華信航空配合2017年1月25日起至2月5日期間春節疏運，為因應國人春節返鄉及出遊需求，針對目前需求較高之金門及折扣澎湖離島航線再規畫第二波加班機：台北－金門30架次、台北－馬公4架次、台中－馬公2架次，華信航空春節第二波加班機總共再增開36架次、3,744席機位。
配合民航局於2016年12月6～7日開放第一波春節離島班機訂位時，華信航空除正班機364架次外，已調度自有航機E190機隊及華航集團738大型航機之運能，提供離島加班機226架次。加上第二波春節加班機36架次，2017年國內航線春節疏運期間，華信航空總共提供626架次、總計71,584席機位，以滿足春節疏運期間旅客搭機返鄉旅遊之需求。
為鼓勵民眾春節期間多利用反向及離峰時段班次，華信航空也推出春節離峰班機、享七折早鳥優惠方案，只要在搭機14天前訂位購票，就可享有七折限量優惠票價，提供民眾在春節期間也享有票價優惠。
